Ran 5 miles
I have never been a long distance runner and I still am not compared to the athletes. With the rock and roll marathon going on I thought I would try to do something fun. I got on the treadmill and took off. Thank goodness for music. BTW, if you have never done this, you need some way to keep your nipples from rubbing your shirt. I was a little tender after but I can see where it could be really bad.
Push up mile stones
Pushups are the key to P90x. No weights, just you and the floor. I have done 28 Plyo Pushups - push up and clap + feet in the air. I have done 26 Diamond Pushups I have done 5 hand stand push ups. I have done 77 push ups in 2 minutes. This one I have only ever tried once and I am pretty sure my body was not in shape for it. A friend of mine has done 88. That is my goal to shatter.
New Bench Milestone
We do bench press before the Friday workout. It helps to see how much you have increased. Keep in mind, I only do the P90x chest workouts and that is all push ups, no weights for chest exercises. On Friday the 1st, I did 225 12 times and 9 times. When I get to 15 reps, I will try to max out the next week and see what the turns out to be. The week before I did 11 and 8 so it would be nice to progress one rep a week but that can be dependent on sleep. For the bench work out I do 135 X 20, 185 x 15, and 225 max res, 225 max reps, 185 X15, 135X 20. That is plenty
It has been a while but new goals - Fitness
I am going to start blogging my diet and exercise information. I have been really working hard this year and enjoying my physical fitness adventure. Here is a recap up to now. I will post some back dated results and achievements soon. I started doing P90x last year and loved it. Picked up Insanity and hated it. Can't wait for P90x MC2 I started working out with some guys from work during lunch. Mostly P90x and some insanity. We do chest on Monday's. One week we do Chest and Back and the other we do Chest, shoulders and Triceps. This dictates our work out on Wednesday. Tuesday I play football with them but they go each Tuesday for soccor, ultimate Frisbee or football. I try to do racket ball or Tennis. Thursday and Fridays are the fun days. We started doing a CrossFit.com WOD on Thursday and either another WOD on Friday or an Insanity video. For most of Feb and March I did Insanity 4 mornings a week and then, the work out at lunch. I am changing it up in April by not doing morning workouts and working out with my wife at night. I have not lost much weight. I go between 212 to 220 but I have lost 2-3 inches off my waste and increased overall strength and endurance. I will post some of my individual results in other blog post.

Cowboys 1-4, huh?
I struggled through the game on Sunday as many of you did. I griped at every flag. I jumped up when we scored and I face palmed when we lost. I believe they could have won every game this year. I believe we should have won every game but Chicago. They beat us but we beat our self in every other game.
Do we have a chance to make the playoffs? Absolutely...... Not. If we got beat in all these games with few mistakes, I would say yes. Since this is not true, I do not think we have the discipline to make a almost perfect run to make the playoffs at this point. The coaching is not strong enough to lead this team back. The players are not leaders.
The fact that Miles Austin jumps over williams in the end zone like they where a dominate team that had a 4-1 record, just shows how ignorant and naive. You can't get excited over small accomplishments when you are this far down for the season. You need a long run of accomplishments. Plus it was obvious that the team finally woke up after that flag, to not do anything in the end zone, as Williams holds up the stop sign hand so no one touches him until he is off the field. Does it really take that much to wake this team up?
I am so disappoint with this team. How could Jerry Jones not do something at this time? If a business had this many mistakes and loses, people would be fired. Why is football any different?
I am so tired of hearing about the Cowboys talent. Talent is nothing without leadership and discipline. I have seen very, very talented people do nothing with their life and I have seen completely average people achieve. Cowboys are right now a huge failure.

Insanity Day 6
With the 4th popping up in the middle of my insanity experience, I kind of missed a couple days. I did not do anything on Sat, Sun, or Monday. By anything I mean insanity videos because on Monday I dug a 50 foot trench, buried a pipe and finish my yard work. Should be card yard Insanity or Yard Work X.
Friday's video was a relief. It was Cardio recovery. It was perfect timing from my 3 hour tennis the day before. I was exciting to hear Shawn say, this is going to be lots of stretching but still a work out. What he did not say is lots of burning muscles. My legs were on fire. It was an Insane recovery routine but good.
Tuesday was PURE CARDIO. 10 minute warm up, 10 minute stretch and 20 minutes of straight exercises. Each exercise is 1 minute and you never stop unless you need water or burned out. I had to stop multiple times to get my breath.
Wednesday was back to Cardio Plyo. I forgot how much I hated the level one exercises in this video. My arms and back are not strong and fit enough to make it through this routine.
I have weighed in at 214 and 216 over the last couple days. I hope to be down to 212ish by Saturday. If I have time, I think I am going to take a long bike ride Saturday instead of Insanity or maybe both.

Insanity Day 3
Today's power resistance DVD was tough. Doing push ups when you are breathing that hard is not easy. My legs are really sore today but I also played tennis yesterday. My back and chest are soring up too.
I like the time it takes and that it goes by fast. I also like readying the sub text saying, "Go at your own pass." "Take breaks if you need them". Then Shawn yelling don'tstop and keep going. I also get confused when Shawn speaks right and left. He is telling you to mirror him but I am more of a follower and am conditioned to do the opposite form P90X. My wife would love it this way because she is a mirror person.
I did not post it yesterday but I was 218 when I weighed. Today I am 216. I did sweat a lot today so much of it was water.
